The Learning Environment

A well designed environment is, of course, safe for children but, more than that, it supports their emotional well-being, stimulates their senses, and challenges their motor skills.

It also promotes children’s individual and social development.  We strive to create a classroom environment that is highly functional, aesthetically attractive, age-appropriate, and child-directed.

This has shown to have an enormous positive impact on each age group.

Because most of the children we keep are here from early morning till early evening, it is necessary for them to be comfortable with their surroundings.  We try to create an atmosphere of love and individual attention.

We want our kids to feel like they’re at their second home.

Our teachers encourage them to have fun, explore, and learn while giving personalized attention to each child’s needs.  Also, by the time children reach the 2-year-old class, they begin a curriculum

Also, by the time children reach the 2-year-old class, they begin a curriculum that teaches the fundamental building blocks needed to prepare them for the future.  We use the A Beka Book curriculum; which is a highly accredited line of educational material.

The A Beka Book approach to Christian education keeps learning lively, interesting, and memorable.

Besides learning, our children have lots of fun!  They have tons of games and toys to play with and movies to watch when it’s bad outside.  And, when the weather’s nice, we have a large newly-renovated playground where they can run, swing, climb and slide till their hearts are content.

We encourage parents to come by and take a tour, talk to the teachers, and see for themselves the many   things Nazarene Daycare and Learning Center has to offer!
